Heliotrope Rash
The heliotrope rash describes a lilac-colored change in the skin over the eyelids and around the eyes, sometimes with edema.
Patient 1:
This is a middle-aged man who presented with progressive weakness and was found to have dermatomyositis.
This patient also has a shawl sign and Gottron’s papules.
